What is Reflexology

Reflexology is a science based on the principal that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears that relate to all parts of the body.
By using only the thumbs and fingers on these reflex areas the nerve endings are stimulated, reducing tension and stress, allowing the body to remove blockages and wastes that create disease.

How many of you know that approximately 75% of today's disease are due to stress and tension.
Tension is likened to a tourniquet around the body's systems - tightening leads to serious consequences over a period of time.

History of Reflexology

The original Ingham Method was pioneered, researched and developed in the 1930's by Eunice Ingham, and is the leading method of Reflexology used today throughout the world.

How Does Reflexology Work?

The practitioner works with you fully clothed, either on a massage table, or sitting in a reclining chair.
On your first visit, you will be asked to fill out a health history sheet, to help asses your needs more fully.
A foot examination is done, checking for corns, callouses, or ingrown toenails.
The session begins with first some relaxing techniques on the feet, A firm compression massage is used on the feet working the different body systems.
You may feel a sensitive area, this signals that something abnormal is taking place in your body.
Stimulating these areas will break down the congestion and help the body to expel them.

Reactions after a reflexology session may be:

What do people think of Reflexology?

"I have 4 lovely teenage grand children, they all love me to do their feet. One of them even massages my feet, not long "as it's her turn now" she says. Reflexology keeps my feet in working order for my demanding job. It totally relaxes me. My students feel the teacher should get some treatment, so they do my feet, which is so special for me." Caroline Lawrence

"Reflexology helps me to sleep sounder and longer. I would love these treatments every week. They really help me to stay active. I truly love thoroughly Reflexology." Joyce Froelich

"I experienced burning feet 24/7, and nothing I tried helped, until someone suggested I try Reflexology. After having only 4 sessions of Reflexology, I can say the burning is basically gone and I am walking better and enjoying my fishing." Thomas G. Chitty

"I have suffered from Chronic Fatigue, Depression and Anxiety for the past 2 years and I normally find myself stressed out on a daily basis and unable to sleep some nights, my grandmother (Caroline Lawrence) always works on my feet when I see her, it leaves me completely calm and refreshed, Reflexology is doing wonders for me."
